“In 2005-06 I photographed children in parks across various western and eastern European cities. This photograph was taken at Kiev Botanical Gardens, one of the largest pubic parks in the city. It ws the month of May and everything was in full bloom. Children - both girls and boys - adorned themselves with self-braided dandelion wwreaths.
