United by their ability to captivate, provoke and endure, these works demonstrate the many ways contemporary art can inhabit everyday life.
We are delighted to present a selection of works from our collection that are ready to hang, bringing together photographs, editions and prints by some of the most significant artists of the past fifty years. Presented in a range of formats, from traditionally framed photographs to works mounted or conceived for more unconventional display, each piece is ready to move seamlessly from the gallery into a home, collection or workspace.
The exhibition spans intimate documentary photography, conceptual image-making and richly experimental printmaking. Included is a rare photograph by Nan Goldin, James at Jean Colonna Fitting, 1995, an evocative portrait that captures the tenderness, vulnerability and immediacy for which Goldin's work is celebrated. Barbara Kruger's Untitled – Kiss (Mirror) exemplifies her instantly recognisable visual language, pairing image and text to question ideas of desire, identity and power while inviting viewers to examine their own role in constructing meaning.
William Wegman's Pillow Yawn (1988) brings a welcome note of conceptual wit, combining his characteristic humour with a masterful sense of composition. Also featured are Magnum Editions by Gregory Crewdson and Nan Goldin, whose photographs move between meticulously constructed cinematic scenes to captured personal moments. Bold works by Damien Hirst and Paul Kenny explore the expressive potential of colour, abstraction and surface, offering a striking visual counterpoint to the photographic works.
United by their ability to captivate, provoke and endure, these works demonstrate the many ways contemporary art can inhabit everyday life. Whether through moments of quiet contemplation, conceptual challenge or visual delight, they remind us that collecting is not simply about acquiring objects, but about living with ideas, images and cultural moments that continue to unfold long after they are first encountered.
